Child Support Payments

A friend of mine divorced about 4 years ago. 1 child was still at school. The courts set OH maintenance at £75 a week. After a few months the OH stopped payments stating he was unemployed. It appears that tthe CSA reassessed and his payment was reduced to £5, but she says she has no written record of this. Although the money has been paid into her account.
As my friend was allowed to stay in the marital house until the child became 18 or left school, they remained in the house for 2 years.
It had been agreed that finances would be sorted out when the house was sold, including several thousand pounds, required to undo work he had done without planning permission and that she had to borrow.
My friend had expected maintenance payments of around £7000 to be paid back on the sale of the house, as well as half the expenses in selling the house. However her OH has now refused all payments.
My friend had to get a part time job to pay bills, but unfortunately used credit cards and borrowed money from family and friends to make ends meet and help the child through school and get into university. Now she is faced with paying all this money back from her funds, after the sale of the house.
Does my friend have any claim on the maintenance payments, now that her OH can afford it ?
Thanks for any advice.

I don't think so when I got divorced and was paying maintenance to my ex we sold our home and he reported it to the CSa . They were not interested as the payments are based on income .there may be a savings cut off but I am not sure about that. I do know my payments were reduced as my wages had gone down.0

No because his assessment (and legal liability) was £5 per week during that period and not the £75 per week that it had been previously.
Presuming he made the £5 per week payments he has met the legal liability.0 -
'she had to get a part time job to pay bills' oh what a shame, most of us work full time to pay the bills and as for the 'child' at uni, he/she can get thousands in grants ect, and as for her using credit cards ect more fool her, own bed lie in it springs to mind0
