I've been quietly entering comps for 2-3 weeks now and just found out about my first win on the Facebook winners thread.
I rather naively assumed winners would be sent DMs. Thank you so much to Elmo34 for posting on that thread, as I would have missed it altogether otherwise (lesson learned!)
Thanks also to Frankiegibson for posting the comp in the first place.
Needless to say, this has sealed my fate - I was already pretty addicted!

well done winning :T:Tplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0

Well done Dave,
What was the prize may I ask?
:T:T:T0 -
Was a guitar signed by Percy Sledge, Candi Staton and other soul legends who played at Butlins Big Weekend.
I'm a massive music fan so it's a really nice first prize too! I've tried to enter things I'd love to win rather than simply everything that moves, but this was one of the ones I was particularly excited about so I'm thrilled.0 -
What a great win. I remember entering for that too as a fellow music lover.
Well done...0 -
Pages are unable to message its followers directly.
The only way they can message you is if you have messaged them first to open a conversation.
I always make a comment on a FB comp so they can directly reply to my comment and that in turn sends me a notification.
But it is all dependent on how well the individual organizer runs the comp
I found a win on the FB thread via a google search and ever since I have posted winners when I see them as my way of giving something back.0 -

That's interesting. Luckily with facebook comps usually someone will tag you.0 -

I only know as I run my own business page. I can't message my 'likers' but I can reply to any messages they send me. I suppose its a spam prevention method.
I'd just suggest making sure you always leave some sort of comment on the comp post, even if it is not required, that way they can tag you0
