Debt Collection? Clarity Credit Management

Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong section, but I hope someone can offer some advice.
I've had three emails from a company called ecollections@claritycreditmanagement.co.uk trying to chase a debt from BSKYB for £33.16.
I did originally get a letter from Sky about a cancelled subscription, which when I phoned up about it, they agreed it was their error, to ignore the letter
The emails do look legit, and have ALL my details on, but why should I have to pay someone for a debt which doesn't exist?
Does Sky really sell debt to companies like this? I'm quite annoyed with Sky if this has happened, although when I phoned them, the guy said there was no record of missed payment. The letter I originally got from Sky was for £33.16, but like I said, I was told to ignore this.
If I don't pay, will it go on my credit score? As I am wanting a new mortgage soon and don't want to jeopardize my credit score.
Thanks

No way you should pay something you don't. Tell them to #### off.
Don't think these sky debts go on your credit report, but if they did I think you could go to town on sky and end up with them paying your for damages.
Still rolling rolling rolling......

Write to sky with a complaint copying the DCA.
As for your credit report, check the sky terms, my sky account doesn't appear on mine but they may be entitled to report on defaults.:beer:0 -

Thanks for the replies.
After trying to phone them, and seemingly getting no-where, I emailed the billing department, and surprisingly they responded quickly and fairly satisfactory.
Sky have said there is no debt, and they will contact the agency to stop all contact with me.
They won't send me a proper letter confirming this, but the email said that is proof of 'no debt owing'. So hopefully things will be ok.
My main concern was my credit rating, as I am wanting a new mortgage soon.
