Mouse recommendations for windows 8 hp notebook please

My Microsoft 3500 mouse has died after just over a year of use. It has worked ok, but gone through numerous batteries. I need a replacement and want a less power hungry, reliable and comfortable replacement. It doesn't have to be the cheapest but does have to be robust.

Sorry should add that it needs to work on as many surfaces as possible.

I have the Logitech M175 and it's similar to yours. What I like about the mouse is, if you drop it only the back and the battery fall out. Agree about the battery life, very good.Sealed Pot Challenge No 089-Finally got a signature.:rotfl::j0 -
