Debt recovery for someone who doesn't live at this address

I've lived in my current house for five months and letters still occasionally come through for someone who lived here before. I return them to the sender but I've started checking the return address now to see what they might be as I'm a bit concerned. One came today with a return postcode only, when I Googled it it's some debt recovery outfit.
I looked them up online and found a number to call and tell them the person they're looking for isn't here, but I'm a bit concerned that a bailiff or similar could just turn up. What happens in this instance, do I just tell them the person they're looking for has moved? I can't prove that, obviously, but I am a bit concerned.
It would probably go in my favour that the name of the person on the letter could quite obviously not be me. I'm sure that telling them I'm not who they're looking for would be fine but I just want some reassurance
Thanks in advance for any help

No, do not make ANY contact with these people, once they have your number, they will never stop hounding you, anyway its not your debt, so not your problem, ignore is my advice, if anyone were to turn up, doubtful, tell them to go away as it is not you they are after.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi rob_s0
I will simply second sourcrates' comments if it helps reassure you.
We get a number of queries on our helpline each week from people in your position. These letters have no more than nuisance value from your point of view, and the matters they concern can affect you no more than they can affect me.
Continue to ignore them / return to sender as you prefer. The flow of letters will dry up in time.
