Just wait until he learns that pasta is also made from flour. Sandwiches or an empty lunch box. Tough love. Who's in charge in your family?

The OP never said he was picky about flour?

Just that he doesn't like bread.

Pasta salad is a good idea, he will eat that.

It's the stuff to go with it as well that i can never think of. He doesn't like yogurts so they're out. School don't allow cake, crisps, sweets or chocolate.

ds has things like sausage rolls, cold meat slices, breadsticks with dips, waffles instead of sandwiches then some fruit & something dairy he also has homemade cake/snack bar.
Our school tried to enforce a ban on "junk food" till it was pointed out the the goverment supplied menu for school dinners has cake or biscuits for dessert every day
this year do something that scares you for courage is not the absence of fear just the knowledge that some things are worth the risk

This blog has 400+ different packed lunches. Some are with bread but they show different ways of presenting them. Made me hungry just looking!

    Hi
Does he hate all bread ? Would he eat tortilla wraps or pitta bread ?
My son liked hot cross buns with a slice of cheese in them. Sounds strange but actually very nice !

    Cold pizza/quiche
    Cous cous (often on offer)
    Homemade soup in flask
Houmous homemade or bought (or other dip) + carrots, cucumber, celery, pepper, cauliflower, broccoli
    Homemade smoothie
Cold vegetable fingers(similar to fish fingers) delicious and often on offer.
    Homemade jelly pots add fruit

Yeah I agree with the Cous Cous thing, it's usually on offer in asda, the Ainsley harriot instant ones and they're really nice, however my DS isn't a fan of the peppers and other bits they put in, so I make him plain Cous Cous and chop up ham and other salad veg. DD loves quiche so that's what she has. There's tons of great ideas on here of the others x

my GS doesn't like bread much - so he usually takes a scotch egg or a few of the little savoury eggs. he also likes those cooked cocktail sausages. he will eat 'wraps' and Breadsticks too. he also takes grapes or strawberries, blueberrys or raspberries. he doesn't like anything that he considers has to be peeled like apples, oranges and bananas. they aren't allowed chocolate, cake or biscuits either - despite them being served with school dinners!!!! so his sweet treat tends to be 'breakfast bars' (technically 'cereals' lol).

I know you said your son dislikes bread but have you tried making him a funky shaped sandwich using a cookie cutter. You can buy a whole range of shapes from ginger bread men to dinasours. Not sure if he is too old for shaped sandwiches but thought I would mention anyway.

Would he eat cheese scones, dropped scones, potato cakes, cold pizza or cheese straws maybe?

Warburtons do a milk roll loaf, it has a softer and lighter texture than a regular loaf as well as being circular shaped slices which might visually appeal to youngsters.

If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)
