Hi

Has anyone applied for shared ownership mortgage with santander or with anyone ?

How did it go?
How long did it take
Did you need to send bank statements start of application?
Does it get passed quicker then full loans?

Thanks

I originally got my Shared Ownership mortgage with HSBC - just like applying for a normal mortgage, except you had to assure them that it was possible to staircase to 100%.

Took absolutely ages, but that was mainly because of Countrywide, which at the time HSBC insisted using for the conveyancing side, who I wouldn't touch with a !!!!!! stick :) The actualy mortgage bit seemed quite fast, if I remember correctly.

Just re-mortgaged with Nationwide, which has taken a couple of weeks so far, but tbh, half that is my fault as I've been busy and not sending stuff as soon as they ask for it!
