I went to Great Malvern yesterday but missed the show I was going to see by a country mile.
Public transport!!
Still the money went to a good cause.
However, Great Malvern is a lovely place to go sight seeing (right down to free mineral water from a decorated spring on Belle Vue Terrace) so I had a pootle round.
And came across this poster

That bottom line in the red stripe reads
"Donations help keep the service free of charge : www.repaircafe.org"
I think this is genius!
More councils should think about doing this.
Sorry about the quality of the picture - even though I had a 20MP camera on me, I automatically took my phone out.......

Yes, I guess there are more than a few out there who don't know that many things are repairable.0

I suspect it's not the not-knowing it's the "how to" part which evades most. Me included.
I'd love such a place to be near me. I also love coffee and cake.0 -
Brilliant idea, wish I lived a bit nearer. Let's hope it catches on elsewhere."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

That really is a great idea!0
