Can anyone help. I applied to get my interest payed tax free from the new tax year 14/15 with various banks i hold accounts with.But they payed me some tax back dated does anyone know were to put this amount on a self assessment form so i can return it to HMRC.:beer:

    Do you actually need to complete a self assessment return for any other reason and/or been asked by HMRC to complete one? If not I would just write to HMRC or call them to inform them, they can then ask you to do a self assessment if required, but if it's only a small amount they may not bother collecting at all.

    If you do end up filing a return it's fairly easy to find the section to enter the interest in any case.
