in Cutting tax
My driving licence is due for renewal so is going to cost me £20 renewal plus recorded delivery plus say £5 for new photo.
Can i claim this against tax as i need to drive for my job -we're talking paye not self employed?

Not unless you don't own a car, never drive one belonging to somebody else for any reason other than work and have no intention of driving for any reason other than work for the rest of your life.
And if all that is true, I think you'd still have problems convincing HMRC.import this0 -
As a private hire driver (self-employed), I could be able to do the same, but something I haven't thought about!
The amount to claim back is too frivolous to think about, and as mentioned, I also use my car privately, and ride a motorbike for leisure.0 -
