Swan Retro fridge freezer (fridge on top) SR11020C

Has anyone got any experience of this product please?

It looks like a good looking, cheaper alternative to the Smeg fridge freezers, but I'm wondering if it's reliable and durable too.
Also, if anyone knows of any other 'budget' retro style fridge freezers that would be appreciated too.
Many thanks,
Dawn.

I'm not sure I'd risk anything with this brand name on unless an absolute bargain. A few once well known & respected brand names are now sold on licence & the Swan appliances are mainly manufactured along with other budget brands for retailers such as Tesco, Argos & Littlewoods by Vestel, which is a Turkish manufacturer.

However, some of the Swan Premier washing machines are manufactured by Daewoo, which has a bit more of a decent reputation.

Bush is another brand who Vestel make quite a appliances for.

The trouble with budget appliances is that is exactly what you are getting, something made as cheaply as possible so if it's longevity you're looking for or good customer service, you probably will be disappointed. Repairs can often be expensive or not available for some of the cheap foreign imported appliances.

Over the years Smeg have been a well respected brand as far as cookers & ovens go, but once they ventured into the kitchen appliance world, their reputation took a bit of a dive, due mostly to receiving some very poor reviews. Things might have changed a bit now though, so do some thorough research before spending a large sum of money on any appliance.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
