Hi All,
Through my work I make payments into their pension scheme with Aegon. I am very new to this scheme and I am hoping to find out if it's any good and if there is anything I need to do to manage it.
I've just managed to log-onto my account so if there is any additional information required please advise.

You need to learn a little about investment get the smarter investing book by tim hAle as a good starting point.
As well as here then there's a lot on the web, including monevator, motley fool and especially their boards, candid money, langcat etc
Key things are to work out your attitude to risk and volatility and then make your investments match that. Costs and charges are significant over longer periods so try and minimise these and in general if you take on more risk then you should get better returns over the longer period.
Take your time and ask specific questions as you go along, it's not too difficult but you need to spend some effort on learning and monitoring your investments, and take responsibility for your decisions whilst doing your own research.0 -
I recently joined our company pension scheme which is operated by Aegon, the payments were invested in a Lifetime collection fund which is very low risk, i have changed the funds to a more aggressive portfolio.0

That is actually medium to medium/high risk. Apart from the risk reduction years, it it invests in their mixed 40-85% equity fund.
Its a good fund for an inexperienced investor who doesnt know what they are doing. Especially on small funds.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
My fund is called "Universal Lifestyle Collection," what does this mean and is there a way to track what has been paid into the account and what is has made/lost?0

In relation to the online setup, "Payment History" obviously relates to what I pay in, however does the "Plan Value" section relation to how much the fund is now worth?0
