How do you crumble blue cheese?

I want to make a large quantity of crumbled blue cheese. Can I do that in a food processor? If so which blade (the S shaped metal being the standard) should I use and should the cheese be frozen? If I only need a little i.e. enough for a salad or to put on top of a bowl of soup I do it by hand

Many thanks,

I would freeze it in the portions you need whole - when it defrosts it tends to crumble naturally and you can just use your fingers. I freeze blue cheese in 1 and 2 oz portions in the same way

if you do it in the food processor it will just all then stick together so i would not recommended this.

I used to just chop it up a bit with a big knife then bread crumb it a bit with my fingers in a bowl best to do this as cold as possible or it will just again stick together.

I like thriftmonsters idea though might give that ago myself i should imagine that works will.

I wouldn't recommend using a processer either - blue cheese is normally "wetter" than other cheeses so it would clump together. I like cashel blue the best - yum

I am not good at crumbling in my fingers, so I would roughly chop with a knife.
:D Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!:D

Thanks everyone - there is no short cut then. Oh "by hand" I mean a knife and a bowl and roughly chop it until it is the size I want.
