Previous property rent arrears

Hi all,

I've had a letter from a previous housing association I used to rent from to say they want just under 2300 for rent arrears within the next 2 weeks. I don't have this kind of money available what do I do? Xxx

Not sure really, they will probably ask you to do a statement of affairs, ie your income and outgoings.
Court, bailiffs, the list goes on, It wont ever, ever go away so if you have the courage, deal with it now and it will stop you feeling as if you are being hounded for years.

Do you feel able to deal with it, can you afford to pay in instalments,

The trouble wit getting it as far as court is that you have more fees, getting to bailiffs means more and more fees.
Ring or go and see CAB if possible .

It's already got court costs on it, I can afford around 50 a month thinking of writing to them so I have records of everything and sending them a copy of budget sheet.just a bit concerned that they could refuse and I end up with a ccj coz that could cost me my job. Dealt with creditors in past but never housing related xxx

has it already been to court, you say it has court costs on it already.

Do as you say you are going to do, write to them with an offer and a budget sheet, see what they say,
