Dear Folks
I'm in a strange situation and without boring you all with the details. My present job has been restructured out and I joined the redeployment process. Rather than wait for something that may not happen I used my initiative and have got a new job (with different employer)that is due to start on Monday 9th. However current employers are not efficient and are not in a position to dot I's cross T's in time. One solution that my current employers have come up with is to "loan/place" me to my new employers until they get the admin side sorted.
Anybody out there ever done this? Did everything go ok? Should I say no to this arrangement?
Look forward to your input.

One advantage (although a negative one!) could be that if you move to the new position and in fact it isn't what you want, you don't need to have that on your CV.
Should your current employer check that the new one is a safe place to work (as they would have some H&S responsbility still)?0 -
It sounds brilliant - get them to do it as a secondment. If you don't like it,you've lost nothing. What very helpful employers, it's a shame you're leaving them, you don't get many of them to the pound!!!0
