How to wrap a bottle of champagne?

We´ve had a late invitation to a wedding on Saturday, so thought we´d get a bottle of Champagne as a pressie.(original or what?)
Does anyone have any innovative ideas for wrapping the bottle please?

Thanx

Wrap it in florists cellophane with lots of coloured curling ribbon to secure it around the neck. Place the bottle standing in the middle of the cellophane and gather it up around the neck and tie. Really easy but looks very effective. Doesn't matter that it's see-through as it adds to the look. Enjoy the wedding!

I had a bottle of wine as a gift from an ex work colleague and it was wrapped in florists cellophane much as discribed by lowonmoney.

However firstly it was wrapped in crinkled tinfoil, then the cellophane was a peachy coloured then the ribbon and large bow a darker peach to match the cellophane made of proper ribbon.

It looked so impressive that didnt want to open it to drink the wine.

    Hello
You might have already bought your wrapping materials but if not, someone bought me a bottle of champagne as a gift and wrapped it beautifully in an organza wine bag (just a fabric bag made for bottles) that had a pull tie at the top and this was tied into the bow.

It looked absolutely lovely and the best thing was that it's reusable too. I think you can get these bags from M&S not too expensively.

I would just drink it and put a ribbon on myself.

Sorry I know that wasn't helpful but I love the organza bag idea!!
Hope you are having a good day.

I received a special bottle of champagne from a French friend. They had used some jersey stretch fabric (beautiful rich red in this case)just made one seam and slipped the bottle through, so it was tight round the bottle,, made a few stitches underneath the bottle, and a ribbon around the neck. It looked fabulous!:)

my parents always dress up Champagne like this (they've been doing it since the 50s) & it's always popular!

You are making a hula hula girl!

orange rammed on for head, hair pinned/glued on from wool or string. Face from map pins or paper cut outs

2 walnut halves for bosoms sellotaped or glued on

'grass' skirt from frilled tissue paper

2 arms made from wire (coathanger?) looped round body and one hand has an Alka Seltzer glued to it.

Only problem I have is finding walnuts out of season so I always save some from Christmas.

    Wierd but very effective.
