Advice please on prize not recieved.

Hi,

Back in mid February I received a voice mail informing me that I had won a £250 fragrance hamper from the Fragrance store. I rang the guy back and he apologised for not contacting me sooner (the competition ended in December). I chose some perfume and he told me it would be sent out the following Wednesday. That came and went so I rang him and he apologised and said it would sent out ASAP. He then rang me back on Friday and said it would be with me in the morning sent recorded special delivery. Needless to say it never arrived. I left it another week hoping it would turn up but it didn't so I rang him back. He apologised and didn't understand why I hadn't received it and he would investigate. Another fortnight goes by with no communication and no perfume. I ring him and he says Royal Mail had confiscated the parcel because they thought it was suspicious and sent it up north to be investigated. He apologised again and said they told him it would be with me in a weeks time. Once again that came and went with no perfume. I spoke to him a week last Friday and he apologised again and said he would send £250 worth of vouchers out and if the hamper turned up I could keep both. Result I thought if either turn up. Well I texted him Thursday to say nothing had turned up yet and he replied saying the vouchers would be with me today, Saturday, as he was personally sending them and via recorded delivery. Once again my post has been delivered and nothing. I only have this guys name and mobile number. He is my only contact and I am not even entirely sure what company he works for, he said it was a competition run in conjunction with the Fragrance Store and O2. Its been about 6 weeks now and I am getting really frustrated.
I was just wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to finally get my hands on the prize or do I just write it off?

Thanks in advance!
Anna

I do recall there being O2 comps before Xmas and this was one of them. Do you remember entering it? If so maybe contact O2 about it?

Edwin is Head of Compliance at the IPM.

The link to the IPM is here. I have used them on 3 occasions to chase unreceived prizes.

Worth emailing them at complaints@theipm.org.uk - all the contacts there are fantastic

Or you can try filling the form in on my link and go from there - good luck! :D
