The thing is I DID win that comp!

As it happens, it's rather yummy chocolate, so I've used their code to order my Easter Eggs with discount

Bumping an old one as it fits...

Grrrr. Got an email today with a header saying 'Thank you for entering our wine competition'. Opened it in hope, and heart did the flippy thing when I read the first few words, only to kick me in the teeth

"Thank you for entering our competition to win a case of wine, congratulations to our winner - Linda from York."

ARGHHHH! Naff off! Might be forced to unsubscribe for getting me all excited!

I got a similar one the other day, the worst thing was, the winner was called Emily, then I went on to read the surname... not mine!

I agree about the ones which are just telling you that someone else has won!

It's a different thing but I've glanced at many e-mail subjects over recent months and, for a split second, got excited at seeing the word 'winner'....only to realise it actually says something about 'winter'!
