Do I need a licence/certification???

Hi
I'm thinking of starting a small business which would supply food stuff for special occasions eg lollipops made from chocolate, chocolate bark, sweets etc.
Would I need any sort of food safety licence/certificate? The only real 'cooking' involved would be melting chocolate!
I would initially be looking to sell through word of mouth to friends and friends of friends but thought if it takes off then could join the local farmers market.
Thanks in advance

Your local council should have a food health department, and they'll be responsible for food trader licences. Like this
