Surely the best place would be your own intranet?

And surely it's best not to post unhelpful posts.

This link shows the 2014-15 Agenda for change pay scales.

In England the government chose to decline the recommendation to award a 1% pay rise.

The proposed alternative was to accept the 1% rise, but to withhold increments to those not already at the top of their bands, so instead of receiving their contractual increment for their experience and competence level, they simply get 1% instead.

    This is currently being disputed.

The Scotland government accepted the across the board 1% pay rise without question.

To sum up... if you work in Scotland.. you get the 1% pay rise.
If you work in England, you do not.

I'm just posting the bare facts, here people. I'd like to keep this thread from descending into a debate about the rights or wrongs of the situation :)

My understanding is that, in England, if you are not at the top of your band then there is no cost-of-living payrise this year but you still get your next increment when it is due. If you are the top of your band you get 1% but only for a year, it doesnt count towards pensions and your pay will go back to your current rate at the end of the year.

Well done for being patronising and rude. Bravo.

There was nothing unhelpful about my post. The latest pay bands will be on his intranet, this will (or at least should) contain the most up to date information.

I'm in the very same position as him and the staff intranet is the first place I'd look.

Sorry if I upset you, that wasn't my intention.

It's ok no problem. I also apologise if I was snappy, I'm particularly stressed at the moment due to moving house and being very busy at work. I'll try and use my evening to become a bit more zen.

Good that you used "should" in the sentence. When I worked in the NHS (not in a hospital) last year, pay scales were not available on the organisation's intranet.
