Cut and Store Fruit

StarryNight
I've realised that a lot more fruit and veg gets eaten in my house if I prepare it and put it in small tupperware boxes in the fridge, but I'm worried about cut fruit drying out or going brown. Do you know if there's any fruit I can cut and store without that happening? Or how to stop it happening?

When you cut it, pop it in a bowl of water with some vinegar or lemon juice in. Then drain and box up.0

You can also use a solution of food grade citric acid and soak your fruit for 15 mins I use a ratio of 1 tabs to 2 cups of water,
I find this more convenient than having to juice oranges or lemons.Slimming World at target0 -

I've used lemon juice in the past but if I've ran out I found that orange squash does the trick0

We sometimes make up a big tub of fruit salad to eat over the space of a week or so - a good squeeze of lemon juice helps to keep it from discolouring too much for a few days in the fridge - other acidy fruits such as pineapple or orange help too. A few brown-ish patches won't affect the taste anyway. We usually avoid putting bananas in it though, as they go squishy too quickly!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

Alternatively make up some fruit lollies or smoothies and freeze.0
