How do I cancel Readers Digest?

Ho hum! For the past couple of years I've subscribed to RD (mad moment) Couple of days ago I received my monthly copy and it's that time of year again where they are 'so glad that you're continuing with the Digest'.Well, actually, last year I tried without success to cancel my subscription. Really difficult as there is no contact phone number on any of their documentation. I wrote to them but received no reply and I'm afraid to say I was bullied into paying a further year's subs when I started receiving the red 'pay up or else' notices. This year, I am determined to take control of my finances and I'm hoping to cancel this blasted subscription (£26.90) Does anyone know of a number of I can to speak to a human being about canceling?Oh, and can someone tell me why, whenever I make a post (not often, I admit!) there is the name Val with a smiley at the end of my posts?!!! Who's Val?!
I don't drink, don't smoke, don't go out - why aren't I rich?
Don't worry, I'm working on it! :p

If this doesn't work send a letter by recorded delivery to:
    THE READER'S DIGEST ASSOCIATION LIMITED
    Address:
    11 WESTFERRY CIRCUS
    CANARY WHARF
    LONDON
    E14 4HE
And ask for it to be acknowledged in 14 days.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

(If a link I give opens pop ups I won't know I don't use windows)

Thankyou very much, Olly! I have just phoned the number on the link and managed to cancel the magazine no problem. They actually offered me a reduced price subscription (£21) but I still can't afford that so I cancelled it completely. Thanks again! Now all I have to do is study the thread on cancelling Personal Loan PPIs and hope the Bank of Scotland will allow me to cancel the HUGE insurance premium on the personal loan I took out 3 years ago! Fingers crossed!

The only number you can call them on is 08706113366. I don't know how much it costs per minute. Hope this helps

    Hiya,
I was kept in a que for 20 minutes on the above number costing about 8p per minute, before my battery died. Did a search and found a site (saynoto0870.com)
giving alternative 0800 number, which i used and got thru in a couple of minutes.
the number I used was 0800 3160153...worked for me, hope it helps
