Jus-Rol pastry

Anything in a "slice" style (flat pasty). Cheese/potato, veggie curry, veggie chilli, chickpea/veg (spicy or not). Just "anything you can put in a pie or pasty" could go into jusrol. I'd look at supermarket websites to see what they put into pies, slices, pasties for inspiration.0

Use it to top a pie
- fish pie, make some white sauce (a sprinkling of cheese just lifts it a bit) and then add chunks of fish (I use a mix of salmon and haddock) and a handful of frozen prawns. Put the pastry on top and bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
- veg pie - a mix of veggies in a tomato sauce, and topped with the pastry. No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -

How about rectangles of pastry with cream cheese/Boursin spread on (leave a border of 1cm), top with blanched asparagus spears, drizzle of pesto and bake?"Does it spark joy?" - Marie Kondo

I have seen a tart - roll it out as a base and put some aspargus, courgette and either goats cheese or mozarella (I can't spell sorry). You could add some red onion and then just pop it in the oven.Christmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

I make a nice tart with puff pastry (recipe from Good Food Magazine). Use to line a swiss roll size tin, make a border, !!!!! all over and bake for about 15 mins. Press the risen pastry down, then top with sweetcorn mixed with tuna and creme fraiche, top with cheese and return to the oven for about 20 mins. Delicious hot or cold.0
