Well, been here a long 'ol time and just taken my first big steps to sort my financial mess out.
Totalled everything out last weekend and it was a whopping huuuuge 9k..I might have MSE's first unsolvable debt issue!
Been in touch with StepChange who have been superb, downloaded my Remedy pack, filled in and printed letter of Temporary Payment Arrangement and have sent it off with my £1 cheque!
Standing Order set up to maintain payment regularly so now waiting for their (MBNA/Virgin CC) response.

Feels kind of strange not having to have dealt with thie type of sitaution before but life challenges have forced me into a corner and I intend to come out fighting!!
But a good feeling too knowing that its hopefully all going to get sorted but will also post up my SOA as soon as I get bit more sorted so you clever lot can take a look.-just need to sort a few other bits out like Sky, Life Ins and utilities.

Heres to my journey ..keep you all updated as I go to healp others in a similar situation.

Very best of luck in your journey. While £9k isn't a small amount of money, when you look around here, then you should be very pleased to be taking charge at this stage - we started our journey with over £40k of unsecured debt!! We're now halfway through this mountain, thankfully, and it feels good.
