Just got back from a lovely weekend in Dorset courtesy of the last Sun holidays. Unfortunately I haven't received a priority booking form this time despite going on Sun holidays for a good few years now . Oh well will have to buy the paper and hope for the best.

Do the priority booking forms have different dates to the website then?
When Can You Go?
Monday - Friday (4 night breaks)
September 10, 17, 24
October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
November 5, 12, 19, 26
Friday - Monday (3 night breaks)
September 7, 14, 21, 28
October 5, 12, 19, 26
November 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
Note: Not all parks are available on all dates.



I would love to go in march for my birthday but I can't see any dates after November on the web site?

only peeps with a priority booking form can book for march/april next year. and the dates are fri m-mon Mar14, or Apr 18, mon-fri mar 17, or apr 21

Can I ask any of the 'old hand' Sun bookers,

Are you likey to get your first choice park when booking with a priority booking form online on Thursday? What time is the best time to do it as this will be the first time I have booked online with a priority booking ref. will it actually be possible to do it before Thursday?

Shall I have the park numbers to hand?

Any advice would be gratefully accepted :beer:
I really want a break in Dorset in October!

Hiya, I'm an old hand so to speak,

you are quite likely to get your first choice doing it with priority on thursday, I usually do mine mid morning, never had a problem yet, (but I like the same park oop north so maybe thats why, lol)

if you have park number it will greatly help, and all info to hand with dates etc, it will ask you to put in four, cheat and put four the same in i find works well, and it'll tell you if its available.

you need to pay online with credit/debit card, and confirmation email will come through followed by confirmation in post (well it does from pontins anyways.)

edited to add you can't do it before thursday, although form appears, it doesn't let you book it, usually goes live about 7am ish.

Rachie B, where did you go in France? I am thinking of doing this for Euro Disney in October.

aaroncaz usually if you put 2 people down you are only charged for 2 passes. we are going to butlins minehead next week but it's my first time there so i don't know how it works. we have been charged for a pass for the baby, not sure if i should have called to query it. haven don't charge for the under 4's so astonsmummy aston won't need a pass if you go to a haven.

in the past at haven sites we have called and said 'so and so doesn't want to get a pass' and that's been fine, they just take the charge away and give us fewer passes.

as for names not matching up they really don't care. you take your booking confirmation and they give you the keys, nobody checks anything. you write your name on the pass but nobody checks it. they have different colour passes for adults and kids though, so that needs to match up.
