Eye shadow to compliment brunette, brown eyes

All I ever wear is brown eye shadow and I'm really bored of it. I'm looking for something for daytime that will work with brown hair and eyes and I also have pale skin. Thanks

I have the same colouring and use gold, warm peachy shades and sometimes green. Best thing to do is go into Boots and ask on the cosmetic counter. They are only too happy to help and will tell you which are best for your colouring.0

Depends on the skin tone, I am the same and blue or cool colours suit me the best. Or mushroom for neutral but no browns which make me look like I've been mugged.0

I've always heard purples look good on people with brown eyes.No more goo hoarding!

i've got hazel eyes & am brunette. when i first started wearing make-up i always used shades of brown/copper/bronze/gold & thought they suited me. it wasn't until my mid twenties when i had a 'colour matching therapy session' (or whatever it was called!) did i realise that cool toned colours actually suit me a lot better. purple/lilac is now my staple, plus some navy/green/pink/silver. really love the colour cubes from body shop (usually cheaper on ebay but body shop sometimes do 50% off) as they are so versatile. used dry for a subtle look or wet for more intense, also use the darker colour as top lid liner & very easy to get a nice smokey eye look. always use a primer though, elf cheapie is my fave at the mo'.0

If your eyes are more green hazel than brown warm red colours can look amazing. Mac Cranberry is the most beautiful colour for green/hazel eyes.
Purple works well for both brown and hazel eyes as others have mentioned.
Or still stick to browns but use warmer tones that have red undertones.
I like Mac Club on hazel eyes, its such a unique colour like a brown/green with lots of different undertones. Sometimes you can see red undertones, silver and purple its mad but a lovely colour.0 -
I read somewhere you need to wear a colour opposite your eye colour to make your eyes "pop". I'm brunette with green eyes & look best with lilac or brown eye shadows. There are some fab tutorials on you tube0

Something with a lilacy shimmer will definately suit your skin tones. It doesn't have to be all out purple so don't worry about looking like an 80s throwback. Something with a muted dusky mauve/lilac tone would be good or even a lilac shimmer. I use a couple from Lily Lol and Barry M I'll link them to you when I can find them. They're neutrally gold tones with a definite lilacy shimmer and I always get complimented on my eyes (not my makeup just my eyes) when I wear them!Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0

apricot shades would look good on brown eyes Benefit did a lovely apricot eyeshadow not so long back. Shades of plum would look good too. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
