2 x late monthly payments. Does this make me a bad person?!?

Guys,
I have just purchased the all singing and dancing Equifax credit report including my credit score. My credit score is a poor 359, this is low because from September 2013 I did not make the full minimum repayments on my CC for two consecutive months due to crap personal circumstances.
How long will this misdemeanour show on my report? Can I ask for it to be removed?
I will ironically have the CC paid off within the next two months, will this help?

You can't ask for it to be removed, no, as it is a factual record of what happened.. It will remain on your file for 6 years although as time passes it will have less of an impact.
And I wouldn't waste your money on any more 'all singing and dancing' reports as they are a waste of money, your credit score is of no use to anyone and you can send off for the statutory report for £2.

Hello there,
Just to add to the excellent post from Beanie, we have a useful fact sheet which discusses credit referencing in detail. You can find it here: https://www.nationaldebtline.org/EW/factsheets/Pages/39%20EW%20Credit%20agreements%20-%20getting%20information/Default.aspx
