Every weekday morning from Monday 7 April, two listeners have the chance to play the 'Fun 0800 Numbers' game with the Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show.
Each day the breakfast show will select a special 'buzzword', then call a local business on their 0800 number and try and coax the person on the phone into saying it. Contestants have to guess in turn how long it will take to get the caller to mention the day's buzzword. Whoever guesses closest takes the prize!
For your chance to participate in the competition, pre-register by filling in the form below, if you are chosen we will call you the day before to confirm you are available to play. The competition will run every weekday morning from Monday 7 April until Friday 18 April. Everyday a contestant will win an Apple Tech Bundle!

Looks like there's some pre-amble to make the contestants look interesting as it's a fairly chatty talk show with a little bit of music. Quite amusing to listen to on the way to work, nothing heavy.
Then guess the time. 50-50 chance.
Not sure if you hear the other person's guess live or if they record pre-record that and play it back on air.
A lot depends if the number they dial plays along for a laugh or just hangs up.

I didn't win.


I guessed 2min50s, Nicola (the other contestant) guessed 3min55s
The woman they rung up stayed online for about 7 mins.
Never mind - 50/50 chance, and well done to Nicola.


They call the previous day just to make sure you are available at 8:45am the next day.
About 20mins beforehand on the day they call back to ask for your guess so you can't change it when you hear the other person.


They call you about 5mins beforehand so you can hear the show and be ready for the presenter.
After introductions the presenter takes your guess.
They then play a cut down version of the call.


The lucky winner takes it all.


Well worth a crack at the On-Air comps as your nerves disappear before you go live. If in doubt then write a few stock answers down about where you from/what you do etc in case you get brainfreeze.
