Pension Expectations Spreadsheet

Hi, like many, I find the whole business of pensions quite confusing. Are there any spreadsheets out there that try and help provide an indication of how much a month you would have to live on if you were to retire tomorrow. It would need to try and cater for state pension, s2p, personal pensions, company pensions, etc. s2p & personal pensions, in particular, are difficult to envisage what is to come. Don't know if this can be done ? Thanks,

I havent seen any specific spreadsheets available. As a rough guide you could expect to get an annuity rate of around 8%. If you therefore multiplyed your pension fund by 8% and then divided by 12 it would give you an approximate monthly pension before tax.
This is only a rough guide but I hope you find it useful.0 -
Have you looked at the Pension Calculator?0

Also have a look at the DWP site: http://www.thepensionservice.gov.uk/resource_centre/statepensionforecast.asp for an on-line forecast (haven't tried this myself, but I applied by post last year - good service).0
