We registered for FIT payments on 3rd Feb this year with Npower should I expect an email from them to give a meter reading for this quarter or will I have to wait until June.Has anybody else registered around the same time with Npower. The thought of contacting them fills me with dread as they are so useless at sorting out bills or tariff changes.

We got our email from Npower at the start of March....
Not sure why you are dreading contacting them? When I emailed them (to check that they had recieved my application pack in Dec 2013) they were fairly quick in responding..... Not had to contact them ever again.0 -
Thanks for that.Saying that i was dreading contacting Npower was a little unfair on their FIT dept I was really talking about their ineptitude in getting my bill correct when I changed tariff last year. They have been very prompt in getting us registered for FIT.0

They might be ok for FITs but their billing is apalling.
We moved to them in Nov 2012, we didn't get a proper bill until Oct 2013. We moved to a new supplier at the end of Jan and they've emailed this week to say they still can't produce a final bill.
Yet another successful SAP implementation. (that's their billing system)Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
I'm with Ovo currently so everything is done online.
Apart from when the new website goes whappy, and some duff customer service advice, very happy with Ovo.0 -
Agree with the above.
We switched to them last May and its been a ballz up ever since.
The FIT were really effective in processing our application in January however and were helpful over email and phone. Still waiting for our first payment after submitting a meter read a week ago however, but did get a PDF statement back by return of email.
They have credited us back nearly £600 for our combined gas and electric and dropped our DD from £90 to £36. They've failed to notice that they have only billed us for electric and not gas. Oh well, I've stuck the money in savings and wait to see when they realise their mistake.0 -
If you aren't happy with npower acting as your FIT administrator why not go to one of the specialists like good energy or ecotricity? We need the earth for food, water, and shelter.
The earth needs us for nothing.
The earth does not belong to us.
We belong to the Earth0 -
We have been using npower for our FIT payments since 2011 and they have been excellent. They remind us well beforehand when the reading is due, we submit it by email and the payment goes straight to our bank. It could not be simpler.0
