Depends what time in the morning tbh, I can get into Dundalk town in 40 minutes going from Portadown but it may be different with you having the dual carriageway from Banbridge

what time do you leave portydown in morning?

a part of the new motorway has opened, but not all.
once the motorway from newry bypass to dundalk is complete, it should be great..
i was wondering what the newry bypass is like first at rush hour??
    cheers

Newry Bypass is an abbreviated way of saying Rush Hour Car Park:rolleyes:.

However the car park is mostly in the opposite direction to the direction you are interested in. Funnily the bottle neck occurs at the same place in the evening rush hour - think it's because of the two roundabouts down where B&Q is. You shouldn't get held up for too long in the morning.

The motorway from Newry towards Dundalk is still being worked on. Think they are making good progress though, but really can't say when it will be finished.
  • Have you considered driving to Portadown and then taking the train in?

Only train worthwhile would be 7:21 ex PTN, 8:00 into DNK. But only useful for the town centre, useless for anywhere like the tech park.
