We had discussed it but as DD4 is in nursery (1/2 days) and not due to start reception until September it would mean paying for nursery for DS10M then another nursery place for dd and we couldn't afford 2 lots of childcare & we would need someone to collect & the drop dd at 2nd nursery which we don't have anyone to help us with. Then come the 6 weeks holiday they would both be in full time and I couldn't afford it at all so it was cheaper to take the unpaid leave & go back at the start of the school year!Living the simple life0

Just read that last post back and it sounds so depressing! It's hard as things get me down easily at the moment, but we have enough to pay our bills and im sure we will get by short term until I go back to work. Going to leave over paying until then and try and focus on keeping us afloat - listed some more items on local fb selling page so hopefully they will sell & I can maybe try to keep us out of the overdraft for now xLiving the simple life0

Hi tink sorry your having a bad time of it every time you take one step forward you have to take two back... We have all been there. Things will get better. I hope your things sell on Facebook and that will tide you over. We all just need to keep plodding along onwards and upwards we will get there in the end

Thanks buddiebabe - think sometimes you can't see the wood for the trees! I hate moaning as we are so fortunate is so many ways. I think I need to accept it for what it is at the moment - hard work - once I'm back at work we will go at it all guns blazing, but right now I need to just get my family through this bit

Anyway, got the new tyre today so we are £80 into the overdraft. My Facebook things don't seem to be moving but it's early posting so fingers crossed. On the plus side I was in sainbobs today whole the car was in & got dd a pair of wellies for winter for £2 (down from £12) and ds a winter coat (down from £14) for £4!!! Both beautiful & I've put them away for winter so should save me some money later on.
Anyway I'm feeling better about things and taking one day at a time - thank you for posting on here xLiving the simple life0 -
One day at a time
glad you got the tyre and well done getting those bargains it will save money in the long run which is always good. DEBT OUTSTANDING 23.04.17 £16802.970 -
Well towards the end of the month is always hard, but I am pleased with myself as have managed to make some cheap & filling meals. I've done quite a bit pasta & egg type meals, like tuna pasta bake, omlettes, tomatoe & sausage pasta & the kids favorite egg bread

I still have £10 left until Friday. I'm thinking of drawing the shopping money out each week at £50 and trying to only do 2 shops a week. Think I'll see how that works for me.
Some of my fb stuff sold but will re add the others next week, i'm finding i'm running out of stuff to sell for now, I have some winter clothes from ds but im going to hang on until autumn to sell them.
I'm planning pay day spends as have normal bills then the car tax is due & DH need some new dress trousers as is at a funeral too, so need to re jig some things around.
Hoping July is a better, more organised month all round as I need to recoup some money & keep us afloat for a couple more months yet!

Well as usual we survive - it's hard and we officially have no saving left at all now! I'm trying to plan for July but we are already living on next to nothing, I've got hardly anything left to sell and the stores we had built up are getting dangerously low.
So far I've decided we will make it until I go back to work, we can make do & we need to just deal with it as there is not much else I can do!
July.
• meal plan
• shopping list
• all bills budgeted & separate accounts
• kids activity money separate in cash in an envelope.
• shopping money in cash £50 per week
• buy nappies & wipes for the month
• put petrol in for the month
This is all I can think of, I just need to make it until September then we are rolling again.Living the simple life0 -
Well I'm still plodding on - pay day has been for DH, & sorted the bill account out so all the dd's are covered. Just busy doing the meal plan for this week & working out what cash I need for the next few weeks. Wish I'd waited but 8th a bit late now - we have changed bb provider so had a last bill which any excess will be refunded next month & a double bill from the new provider! I did not think this through!iI sold some things too on fb so £25 to come when they have been collected which is better than od thought! Going to put another couple of things on when I dig them out.
Ok meal plan for the week ahead:
Monday - paprika pork & jacket potatoes
Tuesday - fish, potatoes & veg
Wednesday -piri piri chicken
Thursday - pork steaks, mash & veg
Friday - Gammon egg & chips
Saturday - spaghetti bolognaise
Sunday - Sunday dinner
Well let's see how this week pans out!Living the simple life0
