Hi Forum,
I need some advice i got a letter from HMRC stating from april 2014 to 2014 I will be on Tax code D0 and paying 40% tax which I am no best please about.
After doing some research I see this is for second Income which i do not have as I have only one job.
Anyone know what may cause this please?
Thanks

It is probably a coding error, lots of things can cause it.
The simple solution is to give them a call and speak to themThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Have you changed job recently? The last twice I have, HMRC have assumed I was still working for the previous company too, resulting in some strange tax codes being issued.0
