Asda meal for 1

Options
Hi All

I purchased a Asda meal for 1 chicken korma
To cut a long story short sharing the meal with my 2 year old son to find a sewing needle with string still attached once I had taken a mouth full and it stabbed me in the side of the cheek.

Took the packaging and needle back to store which was apparently logged onto a system,

I have spoken to Asda Headoffice who have just given me a script as per usual,

I wonder if anyone knows what the outcome of this is going to be?

I don't just want to be fobbed off and this swept under the carpet

Thanks in Advance

Complaining about it both in store and at head office is the best thing to do as you have done. With the packaging they can trace the batch and investigate properly - you've done the right thing. Assuming they took your details I would await an outcome, your not happy with it maybe look into the food standards agency or similar?

Supermarkets do take this kind of thing very seriously, but don't expect too much in the way of feedback. Even if, for example, they did identify and dismiss the culprit and/or terminate their contract with the manufacturer, that information would probably be regarded as confidential.
If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5? :)

You need to speak to your GP and arrange a battery of a different tests, not be least hepatitis and HIV. I'm not wanting to sound all daily mail and scaremongering but my thought is that no one would legitimately have a needle and thread on the production line. X

Are you confusing a sewing needle with a hyperdermic needle?

Sewing needles don't usually carry nasty virus' but if this one did I am sure chilled storage then cooking would kill them. I wouldn't worry about virus'
