Bad Credit Score Loan

Hi, first of all sorry if there are plenty of similar threads to this, but I'm in a bit of a tricky situation at the moment.

I'm unemployed for two more weeks before I start my next job. In the mean time I've managed to run out of money despite budgeting, and I won't get paid from my new job for at least a month from today.

The only solution I can think of is getting a small loan to help me until then, but I'm 21 years old and have a terrible credit rating. Because I haven't started my new job and my last one was so poorly paid I can't prove I have a reliable income yet either.

I'm open to any ideas about how I can get through this month and fund commuting to my new job ect, but if anyone knows of a secure loan I could look into obviously that would be great too! :)

So sorry I didn't mean a secure loan! I don't know why I said that. However if you've read the rest of my post and think you could suggest a route I can go down I'd appreciate it!

    Hi

Unfortunately as you have not actually started your new job then you have almost no chance of being accepted for a loan from a commercial lender (even if you didn't have a poor credit history).

What do you need the money for? and how much? People may be able to give you other suggestions.
Have you run out of money now or expect to run out of money before your first payday?

-Would your new employer consider a small salary advance?

-If you have been unemployed before taking on this jobis their any funding available from your job centre (I know they can sometimes help with things like travel to a new job or even clothes for a new job).

-Do you have any family members who can help out for a short period?

-What could you sell to raise some money to see you through?

-Have you had your last benefit payment?

  • The only (slim) chance you have of borrowing any money, from a proper lender, as opposed to family or friends, would be an overdraft from your current bank.

Have you checked to see if you have an overdraft, already set up on your account?

I know my HSBC account came with a £200 overdraft, from the day I opened it.

Try and treat getting a loan as an absolute last resort. How much money do you need to get you through the next two weeks? If you are living at home with parents (just guessing based on your age) then your essential outgoings should be miniscule.

Are you getting JSA? Would this not cover your essential outgoings? If not try asking neighbours for odd jobs, tidying gardens, cutting grass, washing cars, offer to do ironing etc.

Have a good clear-out and flog items on eBay or car boot them.

Please consider all the above options before going down the loan route.
