I would love some assistance from savvy shoppers on here. There are two of us in our family (1 adult 1 child). Child is currently going through a fussy stage but my moto is eat what your given or go without until breakfast! I do make his faves of beans on toast and corned beef hash each week though.
I buy all my meat from butchers. Said fussy child is a fan of gammon and chicken, beans and corned beef.
Mince is always a choice of mine, sometimes pork chops or stew meat.
Always get fruit and veg from market.
How much would you say my weekly food budget should be?

It "should" be whatever you can afford to spend, and the quality you want.
All the things you mention are very cheap in Farmfoods (and probably Iceland) so it "could" be much cheaper than using the butcher.0 -
I started going to the butchers after the horse meat scandal. We are now meag snobs. I bought a gammon joint from supermarket the other week, was half the price if the butchers, as soon as my son tasted it he pulled his face and refused it. I cant blame him, i couldnt eat it either.0

Hi
With things like chicken it depends what pieces you go for chicken breasts are expensive but if you buy chicken legs or the whole chicken its much cheaper.
