Early Discharge

I am currently bankrupt and I am expecting ED after receiving EDREV. a few months back. Am I right in reading that I am supposed to continue disclosing my affairs to the OR post ED or have I got it wrong?

Thanks

There is no longer early discharge. It was dispensed with in October '13 if I recall correctly. When you get your automatic discharge after 12 months thenif you do not have an IPA then you are home free and do not have to report to the OR. The only things you need to report are those that originated from before your BR ie: PPI, beneficiary of a will if the person died before your discharge or BR.

ED is not possible for cases where the BR order was made from Oct 2013.

Presumably tateandsmile went BR before that date, so technically it is possible, though I think a tad unlikely to say the least.

  • I went bankrupt prior to this change.
  • Even so it's still no guarantee you will receive ED....even before the changes took place many received the EDREV paperwork filled it in sent back and still had to wait the full 12 mnths before discharge

True. Or the ED came so late as to not have much point as with mine.

tateandsmile: Hope you are in luck. :)

When did you go bankrupt T&S? You must be over the half way mark anyway so not long to go even if you don't get ED.
