I've always found it best to call to find out about overpayments because T&Cs are a labyrinth for those who aren't professionals. In my experience it's also best to talk to two people to see if you get the same response - one told me I could overpay 5%, another told me 10 (5 was right unfortunately) and they told me it's best to overpay at the beginning of the (calculation) year because I'm not paying interest on the amount for the whole year rather than chipping away at it. My overpayment amount in total is significantly less than yours though, so it was easier for me to save while overpaying0
