It all snowballed from just a few people knowing that I am up for doing "Side hustles" - Word of Mouth is a pretty fabulous advertising medium.

BTW - If someone knocked on my door and asked "Do you want your windows washing / car valeting / garden tidying" and they did a good job I would refer them onto LOADS of people .... but do you know what - hardly anyone comes knocking!! So now I do ;)

I'm trying the selling all the old stuff off that I no longer need/use/want. I have a lot of stuff that still are in the box and never been used so I am just getting rid of it.
I have to sort out my wardrobe as well as TONS of my clothes no longer fit :P
Hopefully get rid of it all soon.
I have cleared about £80 this week :D

Brilliant news hon - that is £80 you will never have to pay interest on ever again!!!

If you check out my signature - I started out -£10,000 in debt and clawed my way back a pound at a time just as you will. I am within a whisker of having paid £10,000 off my mortgage right now and I am shuffling across the pennies as fast as can to meet my target.

You can do this - most people realise they have a debt issue but don't take action and tackle it and end up spinning their wheels for years till they get serious about it.

    Keep going!!!

I'm lucky, I don't pay any interest on any of my overdrafts as I am a student.
How do you create a signature?

I realised I had a problem when I was about £400 in debt but I just carried on spending carelessly. And a few months later I was over £1000 in debt :/

Btw it might be a bit sad but I love seeing people paying off debts like this, when I was a student what was called the job shop would have flexible work all the time, you just had to get in early and be willing to work in a pub one night, and prehaps clean offices the next etc. Once you got a reputation for working hard and being on time you could get work all the time

I also took part in Phycology experiments for a bit of money, once I got paid 10 pounds to eat cereal bars for breakfast for a week (got the bars for free as well) and 15 pounds for sleeping in an MRI scanner for 2 hrs!

Look around and you will find all sorts of things

    Good luck

    Hey!
Unfortunately I am unable to get a job on my course. This is because I do an NHS course and I work all hours of the day and night, and can do any of the 365 days a year. This means that I can't take a job as they all want me to be flexible :/

Thank you so much!! I was looking in completely the wrong place!!

How do I go about looking into Psychology studies? It would be really interesting because I have an A-level in psychology! I would love to be a part of it :D

I'll not ask which Uni you are at but for Cardiff I went into the building and asked. They had something called the experimental management system (EMS) which you signed up to and I think could log into or they would send you emails (sorry its been a few years!) but the end result was you could see what sort of experiment it was (questionnaire/ logic test/ something longer or more involved) approx how long it would take and what they would pay as well as the times available.

Typically questionnaires and logic tests would take 20-30 minutes and pay £2-3 and more for longer experiments. Obviously not enough to retire to a private island on but it was some extra cash in hand money and you were helping out someone's research.

The other thing Cardiff has is the common cold research centre where they needed people with the first signs of flu/cold and sometimes people who suffered migraines. Sadly I never had "right kind" of cold but friends got 75 pounds for contributing there. If there is a research hospital nearby they may have similar things running.

Check websites for any departments that could conceivably need volunteers. Best of luck!
