How do you find out if you have won facebook competitions if they won't tag you?

If you enter via an App, they usually email. I usually bookmark the pages where I have liked and shared a comp so I can check back on or after the end date. Some of my friends message me too if they have seem my name mentioned. I don't win much on Facebook these days though!
