Aqueous cream and water, which I use for general cleansing, gets my waterproof mascara off with no bother.0

Baby wipes work for me. But maybe your waterproof mascara is just really really good?! I've heard that aqueous cream works too but I've never tried it myself.0

The mascara that i'm using is a lancome one. I have tried the lance bi-facil and no7 ones but no matter how long I rest the pad on my eyes or try to wipe the mascara off, it still seems to be there. It's driving me potty! Will try everyones suggestions one by one until I come up with something that I find works.0

I use Lancôme Hypnose Star Mascara - the other thing I find shifts it is Body shop Gentle eye make up remover. Sign up to their email list- they send out generous discount codes all the time0 -
I seem to find the more expensive eye make up removers work the best- I wish it wasn't the case but sadly I've tried many and the ones I find work best are by Clinique, Lancôme and Clarins. I have tried many of the other cheaper brands (Garnier, Boots own brand, Simple, even Boots No.7 and many others) but as much as they do something they do require far more effort.
I was wondering on the technique used? Because just swiping with a cotton ball or pad doesn't work so well if you have more than a subtle coat of mascara, what does work is warming the cotton wool pad/ball first (either on a radiator or in your hands for a few minutes-do not wet the cotton wall, just warm it. Then put the make up remover on to the pad and place on your eyes with a little pressure and just hold for around 30 seconds to a minute, then gently drag the cotton wool downwards to drag away the make up, repeat on the other side of the cotton wool but only hold for 15-30 seconds and then repeat until your make up is removed- it normally is off pretty quickly in comparison, I just find that with Lancôme/Clarins/Clinique I don't use than a cotton wool pad per eye per use but with cheaper versions I end up needing a few cotton wool balls/pads to remove everything.
I did find the new Body Shop chamomile remover which comes in a flat tin worked well but it isn't cheap either. It's not easy to get hold of any of these unless you get them as gifts which is a shame as if your anything like me you get a great Christmas gift which sorts you out till around March (I wear heavy make up on my eyes and remove twice a day) and then your left waiting till next Christmas! I wish that they'd just make better cheaper versions- its as if they've made the cheaper versions perfectly...and then just watered them down!0 -
Try coconut oil (good quality though)This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

i take mine off with olive oil, the oil seems to dissolve the mascara so you can take it off with a damp muslin cloth or damp cotton wool
I use olive oil or water mellon seed oil. This even gets off mally mascara, then after you wash the oil off your skin is mosturised by the oil.
I think water prof mascara has wax in it and oil dissolves wax.0 -
I use Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean to remove my make up. Massage it in, let it melt into the eyelashes and remove with a warm face cloth then moisturise0

I'd recommend Oil of Olay toner, I'm an eyeliner user and it's a pain removing and accidentally stumbled across it's removal properties as I used this bottle instead of the remover bottle first and found it worked better than the remover!!-X-Missima-X-0
