Some sort of virus attack on MSE I believe.

It hasn’t been hacked. The MSE team are messing with the settings to try and stop the spammer.

Secondly, you’ve probably noticed the !!!! appearing in some posts. This happened when we added spam content to the swear filter (the filter turns inappropriate/unwanted words into exclamation marks). We’ve sorted this now but some posts are still showing them. If you were editing and saved a post while the fix was running that’s likely the reason.

If your post or signature is one of these you should be able to edit and re-type it for it to appear normally again.

Just to add, all I did was go into edit post and it showed back up all normal and then press save. Hopefully it is back to normal now and less !!!

Delay in Cashouts - Paypal Only. Update Oct 13th

Members, I have just been advised by Paypal that because today is a holiday in the USA and the Fed is closed, the deposit we made will not hit our account until Tuesday. I am very sorry for this and we promise as soon as our deposit hits our Paypal account on Tuesday we will process the cashouts. As I stated in my previous announcement this has never happened to us before and we will make sure it doesn't happen again.

i don't think theres anything to worry about but you'd think they would know when its an american holiday aren't they based in the USA ?


i suppose another day to add to cashout will be close to 60 dollars after afew pending survey came through. not been online much today will check for surveys later.

Just had a google and looks like it is a holiday in some states but not the others. So could be they are based in one of the non-holiday states, not sure.
