I wish it was possible to delete tasks off the task listing... all those simple site review ones are clogging everything up.

A lot of us in the same boat, just waiting for them to roll it out fully.
It's test question that count towards badges, not jobs or task numbers though. You can see the number of test questions you've done by hovering your mouse over your accuracy - Need at least 100 over a "variety of tasks" to get to level 1, though no-one knows how many is a variety.

Someone just asked CF on twitter when the deadline for delivery of medals is and they replied "There is no deadline at this point, but we do have a large number of contributor accounts left to review."

Crowdflower have become something of a joke over this to be honest, in my opinion anyway, giving out differing information every single day and replying to tweets telling people to raise support tickets - as if they wouldn't have in the majority of cases!!!

I think CF should just go back to the old system. I dont really see how change was desperately needed.

Im a zero, after about 200 tasks, I feel thats not right in this new system.
No one knows at which point you become valuable, its pretty bad planning.

Scrap the new system, let everyone have a go at every task. If you fail the quiz, you dont proceed. If you pass, well done you can earn more, this time. Change is no guarantee of success. Simples.

I agree with the new levels, but I would as I am a level 3, but only if it works successfully. They have clients that want the work completed by long standing contributors and that is why they've brought in this new scheme, well, to a certain extent. Obviously over time you prove yourself and a single page, or two pages, of quizzes just doesn't necessarily prove you're going to be a good contributor, particularly as many of the regular jobs have websites dedicated to them online where people teach people with poor language skills how to get through. I know these exist as I once googled an answer to check something was genuinely wrong and that it wasn't me doing it wrong, and I found one such website.

It isn't the amount of tasks but the amount of unique tasks that you've participated in, meaning that the longer you're on Crowdflower, and the more you complete, the more you qualify for. Crowdflower are rewarding contributors for sticking around and completing accurate work regularly.

I do think there should be skills tests and what not that they can review and allow people to earn more points towards higher levels, as if you've got high accuracy, good grammar/English, why shouldn't you be given a chance to move up quicker than someone who is just coasting through?!

Obviously that is just my opinion and for people on the low levels they're going to want the old system back, but new members then didn't have a chance to 'unlock' jobs for seemingly months on end, sometimes at all, so hopefully once this all works well it'll work successfully and the people who come here, who clearly have the brains for the tasks, can move up the levels quickly.

I've now been switched over to the new system on CS and I'm level 3.
I started using the site properly less than 2 months ago so it doesn't have to take a long time to get there, as long as you complete a lot of tasks well.

I also work full time and am usually asleep by 9 so it's not like I'm tasking 24/7!

Well done spike241! Glad to hear you're already on level 3, that is awesome news! Hopefully those people seemingly still waiting will move over soon!!
