Not at all, when I started I was asking everyone questions
I started with nothing and have slowly built it up. When you first start it is very slow. But now I make enough each month to buy 100 referrals and renew them for the maximum amount of days. This then adds to my total referrals and I make slightly more. So it's quite self sustaining, but doesn't offer much in the way of cashing out if you want to keep building.
You are basically building slowly to reap the benefits later on. Going 'golden' helps a lot with referral income too and speeds things up. Only buy as many referrals as you can afford to renew though. I got ahead of myself and am now catching up.Swagbucks since July 2012 - £300 Paypal, £330 Amazon

That is great advice, thanks for sharing your tips and information here, it is really appreciated
Do you have a spreadsheet you use to track with referrals to get rid of? I assume by dead referrals you mean those not clicking frequently enough/at all. What average do you recycle at, if you don't mind answering please xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Thanks Techn too
Hopefully we'll see some more results with it0 -
Judging which referrals to recycle is difficult. I only judge referrals that are at least 28 days old, giving them a chance to show what they can do. After that those below 0.5 can generally go, but you can also have old referrals with a high average that have been terrible in the last month. For this I use some free software called neobux referrals handy manager. There is also a paid version for a few bucks with some nice little features.
I export my referral data to the software every night and it does the rest. I use it to look at the referrals that are at least 30 days old, have clicked in the last 3-10 days and had between 0-10 clicks in the last 15 days. You can make this into a filter and it tells you whether a referral is making you money or losing it.
For example, my average has been poor this week. I looked at the data last night and recycled 120 referrals. It was costly but my average has now shot up.Swagbucks since July 2012 - £300 Paypal, £330 Amazon

Thanks! Will have a look at the software on Monday, when I've got a bit more time, and see what I can do
Guess I will be starting off now and hoping to be in your position in a year. I hope you see some big returns soon x

Thanks Techn I will have a look for that software tomorrow as that does sound good and much better to keep track of things.

Here is a very long user guide from the neobux forums, some good light reading

There are a lot of false 'guides' online promising to show you how to earn loads of money. I spent a long time finding good advice.Swagbucks since July 2012 - £300 Paypal, £330 Amazon
