Sat 29th March/Sun 30th March - What small DFW things will you do this weekend?

When we start out on the Debt-Free Wannabe trail we do loads of big "stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the Gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free...
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending:money:

Morning Gang!!
Hope everyone is well & happy this weekend?! Thanks for the starter Ziggy xx
It's a working weekend for me unfortunately so not too exciting, but here's a little listy to get us started:Worked OT last night - will submit it tonight. Hopefully squeeze a couple more hours out tonight if it's busy..?
OH having her pre-holiday hair cut & perm on Christmas vouchers today, so effectively free
B / L / D from stores and take stuff to work as doing 2pm-2am shift
Walk along coast path before work today for some exercise and time with OH as we haven't seen each other this week
Washing on economy cycle and can be hung up to dry
OH is doing a triathlon tomorrow, so will be up super early to go and watch that - free entertainment and beach walk whilst she's on the long sections of the race...
Book Mother's Day meal for Monday night in Cardiff. Planning to double up with my Dad's birthday, as will be the last time we're together before we go away, so 2 for the price of 1
hehe!
Right, that's all I can think of for now... Have a lovely weekend everyone!!

Wow, 75 views so far and no replies???
Hi chaps, I'm back. The last six months have been horrendous; three house moves, two failed relationships and I'm now jobless, homeless and sleeping on my daughter's sofa! Can't get more MSE than that:D:D
I'll try to join in every day, but I may not have a great deal to say for myself...

Hi everyone
Watched little house on the prairie at 8am - 9am
I have had a baking morning = 24 fruit scones and a sponge cake for Mother's Day.
Washing machine is going through wash mountain and putting on line.
Poor puppy is bleeding, in season. Everyone is being kind to her.
Going for the opp in June as advised earliest time by the vet.
Going shopping with adult DD this afternoon. Taking a packed lunch so we can stop somewhere.
Did not get to go in the end after getting all ready as she took another family member. Bit upset.
Seems to be a day of cooking =
dinner. HM potato wedges and HM pizza.
Reading a free book on kindle, knitting, watering indoor plants.
Recycling = washed the bag in cereal box and put on line to dry
washed a few food tubs out.
Put plastic bottles in recycle bin.
sending good wishes....The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -

Put on wash and used vinegar instead of softner (2nd time trying this and it's a keeper)
Took dd to Ikea for a treat. She wanted some Hama Beads. We had lunch but I took our our drinks. Ordered her a kids meal, ordered myself a kids meal and we shared a dessert. I was remotely tempted to buy anything else.
Moved blown down fence panel from the grass in preperation for mowing the lawn.
Dug out dd's plastic garden table from the shed and cleaned it so she could do her bead work on it.
Checked ebay and both my items will sell tomorrow.
Received a cheque in the post. First Utility sent my dual fuel discount. I'd forgotten that was due so a nice surprise.Dave Ramsey Fan[/COLOR]0 -
Good evening, I have not posted for ages due to moving house but I really need to get back into the way of things. I have been busy working through my list but I am starting to struggle so thought I would come back to here and hopefully get the kick up the rear end that I need.
List for today- All meals from stores
- Make a meal plan for April
- Do weekly shop online armed with a list
- Do some of ironing mountain
- Do some of washing mountain and hang up indoors
- Do work for client
- Sort Mothers Day presents and writ cards
- Organise diary for next week
- Feed the animals and check hen house for eggs
I think that is everything that I need to try and get done today.0 -
La E... I don't think you're being crazy at all... It seems like a logical solution. Wipe those debts that are costing you a fortune and the savings will soon start mounting up - you've proved you can manage without at least the amount you're repaying towards your debts, so that amount will make a start on savings... Seems like a great idea to me!! Good luck! x:T DEBT FREE AS OF APRIL 2013! :T"I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul"0
