Thanks for all the replies.. I wasn't aware that opened nil value credit card accounts may cause a problem so I'll get those closed.. Although as my application is already with the underwriters and I understand that they have until Tuesday to come back to me this maybe too little too late??


I just hope that if YBS say no I can get another offer very quickly!!

Just an update on this thread in case anyone is reading this and in a similar situation with the YBS Group...


Turned out that apparently our income had been calculated incorrectly - my husband is paid on a 4 weekly basis so 13 payments per year but the Chelsea had only accounted for 12 payments. On top of this I understand that there was also a system error??


Valuation has now been instructed and booked in for 10th April.


Of course nothing is set in stone until the mortgage offer is in our hands but at least we are moving in the right direction!

As much as i dislike YBS group, if they have instructed a valuation i would be pretty confident this will be going to offer - even they are not bad enough to instruct a valuation and then underwrite again... touch wood.
