Will I get accepted for a mortgage

My responsibility is to ensure they can afford it thats correct, if im comfortable they can afford it with the loan and the lender is too i have done my job.

My finances are nothing to do with my partners (not that i have anything to hide) and i believe if people want to keep their finances confidential they should have that opportunity. I forget which religion it is (possibly Jewish?), but i know a broker who has done a couple of cases for whatever religion and he told me the applicants prefer to be sat in separate rooms when discussing their personal details, i have never had that before myself but i imagine it must happen.

As someone else has said, Natwest do it in certain circumstances so they must be happy it is compliant.

FTR, i have not actually been in that position for a mortgage - both were on protection business and both funnily on the STI question.
