Transfering money to Canada

I am in a frustrating situation. I am going to Canada for treatment that will cost around £3000. The balance is due 1 week before the procedure (you only lose deposit if you fail to turn up). I can't use my credit card as Tesco Visa has a limit of £2000. I tried to get them to up the limit but they couldn't do it, even though I have payed every bill on time. I tried to use my Halifax visa debit card but that failed to go through. What other option do I have to get money to this company without the hasstle and expense of wireing it?

International bank transfer but that costs, do you know anyone in canada? paypal them the funds and they could pay it for you? kick the 2 cards that wont work in to touch and get a new card, try nationwide for free international spending. Western union
maybe the hospital will take paypal?

who knows, ask the copmany what payment methods they will accept.

I use HIFX to transfer money to foreign accounts, you need to set up an account with them first and then when you "deal" they e-mail a contract note, you fill it in with the organisations details, bank transfer the money to HIFX and they pay the money onwards. It doesn't cost either
    I haven't got one!
  • You can make online payments but you have to gather account settlement information from whoever you are paying (wire instructions).http://www.customhouse.com/signup/ch206MBF/
