Why did I bother going out shopping today? It is not pleasurable, too many people and half the items missing that so came for
And still no DTD meat
Anon
Couldn't agree more! Ive just got back from As and it was heaving. I couldn't get out quick enough.
I am officially starting a campaign for the supermarkets to ban people shopping in onesies. It's just wrong!! :cool:I saw a bloke wearing one today......oh dear, shouldn't be allowed. Luckily I saw him before DS2 did and managed to give him fair warning to say nothing!:rotfl:

How are you all?
Morning here spent with a cursing Fourp as he tried to put up a 'work of art' on the wall.
Anyone familar with John Robb Webb's work?
He makes historic pictures from bits found on the beach.
We have the Titanic in rusty metal pieces.
Darnielle with a wooden loo seat surround
& a whaling scene made with mussel shells & frayed rope :)qaaaB

Good morning all.
Been minimally skipping recently:o, real life is so busy at the moment.
DS1 and his gf have decided to buy their first house, so lots of viewings of varying success. One house that gf liked, lovely photos from the EA:p we nicknamed 'the hovel' My goodness it was awful. It was supposed to be 3 bedrooms. Three my .........eye was it. More like one very small bedroom, a room barely big enough for a cot, and a makeshift room in the loft, up stairs so narrow that your shoulders scraped the walls, with a bit of poorly attached plasterboard to make a ceiling. The kitchen was so narrow you could touch each wall without stretching. All the walls in the house were gloss painted:eek: and the ceilings looked dodgy. It had been up for sale by tender, no one had bid so it was back on the market. The owners freely admitted to wanting four grand more than the asking price to be able to move. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: The EA was pushing the kids to make an offer til we two mums put him straight, in no uncertain terms.
Anyway they have chosen a three bedded Victorian terrace, within walking distance to DS1's work, and the station for gf. It needs decorating, but is sound. It has rear access for their vehicles, and a big shed for ds1's boats, tools etc.
I'm busy sorting out the last of the details for our holiday now that I've finished organising Mum's.
I'm so looking forward to our holiday, counting down the days.:j
I've not been glitching recently, as there has been nothing we really need. DS2 and DH have brought home whoopsied bread and veg, so I've kept away from temptation. I agree with I think it was Tinyshoes, who only partakes in glitches if it is for stuff she needs.
I'm still not smoking:j. I put on 6lbs:eek::( but have managed to lose 4 of them. I dropped out of SW, but will go back after my holiday.
I've probably missed lots of everyone's news, so Happy Birthday to those I've missed, congratulations to those who've had good news, commiserations to those who need, and big hugs to everyone. I'm looking forward to our local elite meet for JL cake and coffee on Thursday, so a big catch up then.
Nice to see our karlie back, full of good advice as she always was. I rather like the tsb thing hun so thanks for that:beer:. Nice to see some newbies too.
Got to go, the washing machine and the hoover are calling. Hope you're all well,
Nx
