    Evening all

    Had a horrendous day :(

Remember the new car I was :j about on Monday?
Well the alternator went on it today.
Sat for a couple of hours and then had to be towed back at a cost of £78  Wishing I'd renewed my AA cover now :p

    Story of my life!

Oh LFAB that's not good. :( Hope just a blip and car keeps you happy.

If this is the TSB account, how long does it take to be processed. I filled in a form last night and says Ive been accepted but now says its being processed

I got 2 emails back almost immediately - first one confirmed I had been accepted for an account, second one confirmed m user nae and password and said i could access my account online immediately but wouldn't be able to use it online until I received my activation code (should be within the next few days). I called into my local branch today - they quickly found my account details on their computer and said I could make my first payment inbranch if I wanted.

So it looks like its processed almost immediately so not sure why you are still waiting. The odd thing is, TSB don't seem to want any ID or residential proof even though I haven't got any other accounts with them. However, Nationwide are sending me some forms to complete and also want ID and proof of address - even though I have 2 ISA accounts with them and a credit card so they should know who I am !

Do you have to go through the whole process again to open a second or do you have to click something when logged onto online banking? Thankyou:D

Whole process again....but it doesn't take long and you shouldn't have to register for online banking this time as the system should recognise you.

Yes TSB. I did mine last night on line and was accepted immediately and could log onto Internet banking ;)

Haven't you got to wait for an activation code before you can actually do anything online ?

Did you get the car from a garage? Or was it a private sale? No wonder you're feeling a bit down, you were so excited about your new car :(
Ouch about your AA cover. I've never used my breakdown cover for years but always have it after a horrendous experience on the M6 years ago when the kids were little.

My Dad got it from a car sales guy with his own place so I'm hoping I'll have some comeback, but I'll not hold my breath. Thankfully my local garage is fab and he's taken it in for me and is saying he'll be in touch with the guy I got it from as it's not on. He's quoting the Sale of Goods act and all sorts! Just need to wait and see I guess x

You can log in and view balances and any DDs that have been set up.

To send money, set up SOs etc. you have to wait for the acrtivation code.
